Speech acts in the collection “The Homeland’s Moan” by the Nigerian poet Malik Siwar

Abstract

This study aims to shed light on the works of the Nigerian poet Malik Siwar, especially his poetry collection (The Moan of the Homeland), where looking at it through another dimension would highlight those visions and ambitions that our poet sought to clarify through his poetry collection.The study settled on this deliberative view of his collection, that is, through verbal acts, because in this collection there are many verbal acts (locutionary- illocutionary) that were influential in shaping those views that our poet adopted and through which he was able to convey his opinion and message.
