KOMPETENSI PELAJAR DALAM MEMENUHI KEPERLUAN INDUSTRI: KAJIAN PERSEPSI MAJIKAN INDUSTRI BAGI KEBOLEHPASARAN PELAJAR FAKULTI PENGAJIAN ISLAM KUIPS
STUDENTS COMPETENCIES IN ACHIEVING THE NEEDS OF INDUSTRY: A STUDY ON THE PERCEPTION OF EMPLOYERS FOR THE MARKETABILITY OF STUDENTS FROM FACULTY OF ISLAMIC STUDIES KUIPs

This study aims to look into the students competencies from the industry as a preparation to attain the marketability among the students of Islamic Studies from Islamic University College of Perlis through employers’ perceptions during industrial training. This study aims to be the main outline that needs to be formed according to the current demand of the industry. Graduate student should have competent power and career skills to enhance competitiveness and capability. The university also plays a role in producing competencies and softskills among graduates and as a preparation to acheive the needs of the industry. This study is a quantitative study that used questionnaire form as a research instrument. Surveys were conducted on 16 employers from different industrial sectors as well as on 16 students in the Faculty of Islamic Studies, Islamic University College of Perlis for the February 2022 session. The questions asked regarding significant levels related to the students achievement undergoing industrial training. The results of this survey found that there are several aspects of digital skills and soft skills that can be improved as a preparation of lessons that meet the requirements of the industry. However, the results showed that the results of 87.5 percent by industry employers on students undergoing industrial training are competent and reaching out the competative and needs of industry.
