This article examines the role of Fiqh al-Maalat as a methodology of ijtihad in the context of Hajj rituals. This principle emphasizes the analysis of legal implications by considering effects through the framework of maslahah (benefit) and mafsadah (harm), in alignment with the objectives of Islamic law (maqasid shariah). The study investigates specific issues in Hajj, such as the permissibility of killing harmful animals in the state of ihram and the allowance for vulnerable groups to leave Muzdalifah at night to assess how the principles of Fiqh al-Maalat are applied. Using a qualitative approach and document analysis, the findings demonstrate that Fiqh al-Maalat provides flexible, relevant, and practical solutions in Hajj implementation without compromising fundamental Islamic principles. In conclusion, Fiqh al-Maalat plays a pivotal role in ensuring the continued relevance and responsiveness of Islamic rulings to contemporary challenges.
