An Overview of Works on Summarized Quranic Interpretations

Abstract

This study aims to review previous works related to summarized Quranic exegeses, with a specific focus on the methodologies and approaches used by scholars in producing interpretations that are concise and easy to understand. The review highlights various exegetical works designed to facilitate reading and comprehension of the Quran, particularly for readers who lack the opportunity to delve into more detailed and technical interpretations. This article also discusses the critical role of summarized exegeses in disseminating Quranic knowledge to the general public, as well as the differences in writing styles, thematic approaches, and interpretative methods used in such works. The study presents an overview of works related to summarized Quranic exegeses. The research employs a qualitative method, with data collected through a library-based study. The findings indicate that the works on summarized Quranic exegeses adopt diverse methodological approaches. This research provides a comprehensive overview of the evolution of summarized Quranic exegeses and highlights potential avenues for further research in the context of contemporary interpretations.
