Abstract

This research aims to introduce Imam Al-Dani, the author of the book Al-Tarif, and to explore the ten Nafi' transmission paths, providing a brief biography of their narrators and tracing their chains of transmission in a connected tree diagram leading back to Imam Al-Dani. The study also includes a comparison of certain foundational principles in table format between the scholars of the East and West, specifically regarding Imam Al-Azraq, as well as examples of foundational principles of Imam Al-Asbahani compared between the East and West. Additionally, the research addresses specific variant words between Imam Al-Azraq and Imam Al-Asbahani within the ten Nafi' paths where they diverge from Imam Nafi's methods. It also responds to accusations regarding the authenticity of the ten Nafi' transmission paths, addressing claims that they are irregular readings. Furthermore, the research lists some compositions and works, both prose and poetry, that were authored on this topic, whether dedicated to the ten Nafi' paths or related subjects. The study concludes with a summary of findings and recommendations derived from this research. We ask Allah for sincerity and acceptance. All praise and thanks are due to Him.
